Emerica So Rad Series: Ed Templeton
July 17, 2007 | Category: Product Highlights, skateboarding, toy machine, emerica skate shoes, ed templeton
Ed Templeton has been riding for Toy Machine Skateboards for a long time, but more recently Templeton has been featured on the covers of art magazines, and has been the subject of much hype, in regards to his artwork popping up on more than just skate decks and Toy Machine ads. Templeton’s art is now being featured on special edition Emerica Shoes called the “So Rad” series. The shoes feature artwork and characters from the mind of Ed Templeton and feature the trademark Emerica logo. What makes the “So Rad” series even more spectacular, is the fact that the shoes feature two different soles. Art and functionality collide in one of the most unique skate shoe slip on series in recent years. Toy Machine & Emerica are two examples of progress in skateboard art and culture as more than just a lower level lifestyle obsession, but more of an artistic and creative branch of hobby that is not restricted to facade. Another reason why we here at Snocon are so passionate about the skateboarding community at large.
