The Seattle City council approved a location for a new skatepark to be built inside the Seattle Center. Even though some event organizers were not too fond with the idea of demolishing some of the “pavilion rooms” to fit a new skatepark, in the end the Council voted in favor of skateboarding. The new park will be located at Second Avenue North and Thomas Street, and will provide Skateboarders with a real alternative to hitting the streets and avoiding the police.
